In the quiet season of winter, join us in the historic delta town of Suisun City for three days of sharing ancient stories of the heroine’s journey and relate them to our own life stories.

It will encompass creative storytelling, writing, and sharing old and new tales of the heroine’s journey. Learning from the stories and one another, we will gather in a spacious home to listen, create, and leave with a better sense of our path forward.

The retreat will be co-presented by Woven founder Kate Farrell and Story Through Stone founder Cyndera Quackenbush, who is our generous hostess.


Plenty of Opportunity to Work, Develop, and Share Your Stories

The weekend is designed to hone clarity and confidence in creating the narratives you most want to tell. The weekend includes:

  • Friday evening story-circle with refreshments (6 – 9 PM)
  • Saturday all-day workshop with focus on feminine quest tales (9 AM – 6 PM)
  • Two healthy meals: Saturday lunch and Sunday brunch, plus snacks
  • Plenty of time to write, rest, reflect, listen, and explore the waterfront
  • Group dinner Saturday night at a nearby restaurant, on separate tabs (7 – 9 PM)
  • Sunday Brunch, sharing of crafted stories (9 AM – Noon)
  • Optional add on: nearby wine tasting in Suisun Valley Sunday afternoon 


Luxurious Amenities

Amenities include personal work spaces, a yoga/movement room, an art room, and a hot tub. Solace and inspiration will come from the surrounding landscape of the beautiful water-front district of Old Town Suisun.

Our cozy Winter Retreat in Suisun City, CA takes place over three weekend days Feb 23-24-25, 2024.

You have the option to register for 3 days or Saturday only. To ensure a comfortable group dynamic, the retreat is limited to 10 people. Use the form below to register.
